Day 1 – Arrive in Dublin, settle into your city centre hotel.
Day 2 - Dublin city sightseeing
Day 3 - Dublin to Donegal, followed by an afternoon relaxing in luxury castle hotel.
Day 4 – Donegal coastal drive, rugged and wild beautiful coastline
Day 5 – Donegal leisure day
Day 6 - Donegal to Antrim – Giant’s causeway & Dunluce castle.
Day 7 – Antrim - Belfast city sight seeing
Day 9 - Antrim to Dublin- Via the Boyne valley
Day 10 – Home, airport transfer brings you the 20 min drive to Dublin Airport.
Day 1-Arrive in Dublin
Let your airport transfer take you to your city centre hotel and relax after your flight. Stretch your legs and get to know your surroundings by exploring Dublin city centre.
Day 2 -Dublin city sight seeing
Your second day in Dublin you should enjoy some sightseeing in Ireland’s vibrant capital city. Don’t miss the Guinness Store house for the history of the famous pint of stout, Trinity College for the Book of Kells, Temple bar for the pubs and people watching or Dublinia museum for the history of the Vikings in Dublin. Eat in a Michelin star restaurant and discover gourmet Ireland.
Day 3 –Dublin to Donegal
Meet your driver guide this morning or collect your car hire. Head out of the city and towards Trim Castle. Enjoy one of Ireland’s largest Norman castles and the movie location for Braveheart. Continue on through beautiful traditional towns like Kells on to the rugged north west of the country and to your luxury castle hotel. Settle in and relax for the day exploring the estate.
Day 4 – Donegal coastal drive - Wild Atlantic Way
Travelling around county Donegal’s coast can take days! The route is approximately 557 km (346miles). Take the southern loop leaving Donegal town, head for the coast and take in the sights. Highlights include the Slieve Lag cliffs, standing 600m tall (1968 ft). No trip to Donegal is complete without exploring its miles of golden, sandy beaches and Glenveagh National Park. Don’t forget to pick up a Donegal Tweed blanket in the Donegal woollen mills. The region is vast and beautiful, your itinerary will depend on your interests and your time!
Day 5 – Leisure day in Donegal
Take a day off and relax on your hotel Estate. Enjoy the facilities and relax. Why not take a stroll through Donegal Town and enjoy lunch in a local café.
Day 6 – Donegal to Antrim
Heading for the Antrim coast, take in the seaside town of Portrush. Famous for its beaches and Golf courses, there is a lot to see along the coastline including the famous Giant’s Causeway and Dunluce Castle. TV sensation Game of Thrones is filmed in Antrim and the locations are stunning in their own right but now made more famous due to the Hollywood connection. Take in Bushmills distillery, the oldest working distillery in Ireland. Settle into your Antrim Hotel.
Day 7 –Antrim – Day trip to Belfast
Today visit Northern Ireland’s Capital. Belfast is great for sightseeing and make sure not to miss the Titanic experience, relive the last days of the fateful maiden voyage. Take a hop on, hop off tour to really see the city.
Day 8 – Antrim to Dublin
Head to Dublin today, but first make a stop at the Boyne Valley. Visit Newgrange (c 3,200 B.C.), it is the best-known monument of the World Heritage Site of Brú na Bóinne, predating the ancient pyramids by 400 years and Stonehenge by 1000. The fantastic visitors centre will fascinate you. Visit Monasterboice, an early Christian site with a round tower and 10th Century High Cross, the Hill of Tara (seat of the high kings of Ireland) .Settle into your hotel outside Dublin for a good night sleep before your flight home.
Day 9 – Home
Your airport transfer will take you the 30 min drive to Dublin airport for your flight home.
